Learn moreThe SimPure DB10C-2 is a heavy-duty, two-stage whole house filter housing built around the industry-standard 10" x 4.5" cartridge format. Mounted at the point of entry, it conditions all the water entering your home – kitchen, bathrooms, showers, washing machine and outside taps – from a single installation point.
Both cartridges arrive pre-installed, so the system is ready to plumb in straight out of the box.
Because the housing uses the universal 10" x 4.5" format, you're not tied to one supplier – any standard Big Blue cartridge will fit when it's time for a change, including specialist options like KDF, GAC, scale inhibitor or 1-micron carbon blocks.
| Model | SimPure DB10C-2 |
| Cartridge size | 10" x 4.5" (universal Big Blue format) |
| Stages | 2 (Sediment + Carbon Block CTO) |
| Inlet / outlet | 1" female BSP thread |
| Maximum flow rate | 15 GPM (57 litres per minute) |
| Operating pressure | 25–90 psi (1.7–6.2 bar) |
| Water temperature | 5–38°C (41–100°F) |
| pH range | 6 – 11 |
| Housing material | Food-grade polypropylene |
| Pressure relief | Built-in pressure relief valve on filter head |
If your incoming mains pressure exceeds 90 psi (6.2 bar) you'll need to fit a pressure regulator upstream. UK mains pressure is typically well within range, but worth checking before installation.
The system is designed for wall mounting at the point of entry, downstream of your stopcock. It ships with everything needed for a standard install, so no extra fittings are required for the housing itself – only the connecting pipework to your mains.
We'd recommend installing isolation valves on the inlet and outlet so cartridge changes are quick and tidy. Cartridge replacement intervals depend on local water quality and household usage, but as a guide: sediment every 6 months, CTO every 6 – 12 months.
Follow the manufacturer’s installation guidance, confirm all connections are secure and flush the product as instructed before regular use.
