1 & 2. Samsung DA29-00003F (HAFIN1) & DA29-00003G (HAFIN2) Filter Replacement Instructions:

  1. Remove your old fridge filter by firmly twisting it counterclockwise to unlock it and gently remove it.
  2. With all the packaging removed, gently push and turn your new filter clockwise into the housing until the filter padlock symbol matches up to the centre mark on the filter housing.
  3. If the padlock does not match up, retry steps 1 and 2, ensuring you are firm but not forceful when twisting your new filter into the housing.

Having difficulty removing the filter? Try these steps:

  1. A build-up of water pressure in the system can make it difficult to remove the filter. To alleviate this, turn off the water supply and dispense as much water as possible from the fridge.
  2. If necessary, you may need to remove the shelves immediately underneath the filter to provide room to pull with more force.

  3. Remove the black caps and red collet clips from each end of your new DA29-10105J filter.
  4. Note the correct flow direction by looking at the top right-hand
  5. corner of the label, and then re-connect the tubing by firmly inserting into the right end of each filter.
  6. Replace red collet clips to ensure tubing is secure.
  7. Insert the new filter into its mounting clip.
  8. Turn on the water supply and check for leaks. If leaks occur, turn off the water and repeat steps 1-6.

6. Resetting the Filter Light on a Samsung Refrigerator

On newer Samsung refrigerators, the filter indicator light turns orange after five months or when your filter reaches 90% capacity. The indicator light will then turn red after six months or once the filter has reached 100% capacity.

Depending on the model you have the light can be either green or blue.

Resetting the filter light on your Samsung fridge is usually straightforward.

  1. First, find the multi-function button on your screen display that controls the filter indicator. The alternative function is usually written under the button label.
  2. This may be labelled as ‘Alarm’, ‘Water’ ‘Energy Saver’ ‘Fridge’, ‘Power Cool’ ‘Ice type’, ‘Child Lock’, ‘Moisture Control’ or a combination of these.
  3. Then press and hold the button(s) for 3 seconds until the light changes.
  4. That’s it! Enjoy your freshly filtered water.
